OIL GAS LITIGATION
Decades Of Experience, Results-Oriented Representation
At The Law Office of Thomas C. Hall, P.C., I have more than 30 years of legal experience representing clients throughout Texas. My clients include landowners, mineral rights owners, oil and gas companies, service companies, independent operators, contractors and subcontractors, and others involved in the booming oil and gas industry.
Located northwest of the Eagle Ford Shale, which is a source of employment for tens of thousands of workers, I handle a wide array of litigation matters related to oil and gas leasing and development in this extensive mining area.
Resolving Mineral Rights Disputes, Lease Disputes and More
I handle a broad spectrum of oil and gas disputes, including those that involve:
Breach of contract disputes
Operator liens
Preferential purchase rights
Eminent domain disputes
Operator removals
Surface damage and rights of ingress
Emergency access appeals
Lease development
Seismic shoots
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) violations
Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies (COPAS) accounting
Oil and gas law is inherently complex. For instance, a landowner may sell his or her land and 50 percent of the royalties to buyer A, who then resells the land and 25 percent of the royalties to buyer B. Buyers A and B enter into a lease agreement with an oil company, agreeing to lease all the minerals under the property, but the original property owner still owns 50 percent of the minerals. In such sophisticated disputes, a lawyer must have detailed knowledge of Texas oil and gas law to effectively advocate for his or her client’s interests.
